The GSBS Weather Plan directly
affects
1) Graduate students enrolled in the GSBS and
2) GSBS office and its staff.
All GSBS faculty members have a primary academic
appointment in the other three UTMB schools. Therefore, these faculty members
respond to the
directives outlined in the emergency weather plan of the
school of their primary appointment.
The GSBS Weather Plan is initiated by the UTMB President or
the Institutional Emergency Preparedness Officer (IEPO). In this event:
1) GSBS students, as non-essential (NE) personnel, will be
released only when the Chief Academic Officer (CAO) notifies the GSBS Dean that
all UTMB
students are to be so notified.
2) The GSBS office staff will secure the GSBS offices and
equipment in accord with procedures instituted by the Dean or Assistant to the
Dean. As NE
personnel, office AP and
classified employees will leave UTMB only after offices and equipment are secure
and the Dean or Assistant to the Dean officially
releases them. All offices will be
locked.
After a weather emergency has ended, employees and students
will be called back to work via the UTMB Storm website (http://www.utmb.edu/alert/
), and
radio or TV communications can be
monitored. The primary radio station to be checked is KTRH 740 AM. |
