General Scholarship Awards Committee
RE: Information
for General
Scholarship Awards
The committee invites
nominations for these prestigious scholarships, each with a generous
award. To nominate a student or to place your own name in
consideration, please provide the information requested on the
attached Nomination form. Competitive scholarship awards of $1000 or
more made to a UTMB graduate student qualifies that student for
in-state tuition. Students do not need to apply for a specific
unrestricted scholarship, but will be considered for ALL
scholarships.
The General
Scholarship Awards committee will review nominations and select the
recipient of each of the following unrestricted scholarships. Forms
are enclosed for your convenience in identifying those individuals
you feel should be honored.
It will be our pleasure
to recognize the outstanding achievements of graduate students and
to share this special occasion with their faculty mentors, family
members and the generous donors whose contributions have made these
awards possible.
Please note that the
nomination form has changed and that all requirements must be met.
Wednesday,
August 1, 2007 is the deadline for applications and completed
nominations.
We are pleased to
announce the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences will host the
Annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon on Friday, October 5, 2007 at the Hotel
Galvez Music Ballroom.
