This is the newest edition of a Directory that the Fogarty International Center (FIC) has published since 1988. It focuses specifically on investigations relevant to global health issues and on research and training that build capacity in low-resource settings.

Job Market News is part of the American Association for the Advancement of Science's Next Wave site. It publishes articles related to trends in science employment.

Salary and Employment Survey This part of a website established by the American Association for the Advancement of Science has information on salary and employment for recent graduates in the sciences and engineering. The data are getting a little old being from 1998.

www.nap.edu/readingroom/books/trends/ is the site of a report put together by the National Research Council entitled Trends in the Early Career of Life Scientists.

http://www.nsf.gov/sbe/srs/seind00/ has a report entitled Science and Engineering Indicators 2000 created by the National Science Board and the National Science Foundation.

http://www.wcer.wisc.edu/phd-survey/ contains a report sponsored by the Pew Charitable Trust called Survey on Doctoral Education and Career Preparation.
